Welcome to my site! I sketched on and off my whole life before discovering soft pastels in early 2006 while on maternity leave. I studied for about 15 months with pastel art Tina Siddiqui and exhibited my work with Livessence (a life drawing group), Gallaghers Canyon artists and the Oyama Art Walk show.

After a return to work, another child and my husband's cancer treatment, life got in the way of painting. I have recently picked up the pastel sticks again after over 2 years. I *love* painting, and pastels are my medium of choice. I *love* the contact between the paper and my hands. I *love* that I don't have to reload a brush with color. I *love* that I don't have to mix paint on a palette and that my palette is my paper.

My work exhibits my fascination with light and how it can be portrayed using the pastel medium. My subject matter includes portraits, landscapes and still life. As well as originals, I prepare archival quality matted prints on fine art paper. I also accept commissions. I {heart} comments, so please feel free to comment on my artwork.
